They need to be kept nice and dry to continue working to their best potential. It is inevitable that there will be days where you are caught in a rainstorm or where you\u2019ve exerted yourself and therefore perspired a little. So how do you dry your hearing aids out in this situation?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Luckily, <a href=\"https:\/\/veritashearing.com\/uk\/hearing-aids\/\"><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">hearing aids<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> are well protected against water and humidity. They are designed in such a way that doesn\u2019t let water in easily. This doesn\u2019t mean you should become complacent and not look after them. There are extra steps you can take to keep them dry. The more you maintain your hearing aids, the better they will work and the longer they will last. There are many different ways to dry your hearing aids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Electronic Hearing Aid Drying Boxes<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Drying boxes are small boxes that use air and heat to dry the hearing aids. They are available for all types of hearing aids, whether you have rechargeable or battery ones and they are very easy to use. If you have battery powered aids, you just pop the aids in the box and hit start. Drying can take anywhere between 45 minutes and 8 hours depending on their exposure to moisture. If you use rechargeable aids, most drying boxes work as a charger too so you just pop them in the box overnight and they\u2019ll dry and recharge at the same time. These come in the form of pellets, discs or linings. It is handy to use these when you are going somewhere you\u2019ll have no power (maybe camping!). Desiccants are easy to purchase online or at a pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"750\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/veritashearing.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/10\/phonak-drting-beaker.gif\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5336\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">This drying beaker can be used alongside drying capsules to dry out hearing aids.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waterproof Hearing Aids<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are now hearing aids that you can purchase which are waterproof. The <a href=\"https:\/\/veritashearing.com\/uk\/are-waterproof-hearing-aids-for-me\/\"><strong><mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Phonak Lumity Life hearing aids<\/mark><\/strong><\/a> are waterproof up to 50cm.
