Phonak Lumity Life Waterproof Hearing Aids
Phonak Lumity Life hearing aids are waterproof up to 50cm, sweat proof and have health data tracking built in. The health data tracking can be used alongside the myPhonak app. Because these new hearing aids are waterproof and not just water resistant, you really can dive into the pool without removing them (as long as you are not going to depths past 50cm). It no longer matters if you are caught in a torrential downpour with no umbrella, your hearing aids are designed to strive!
Occasionally, people forget they are wearing their hearing aids and jump into the shower with them still in. Unfortunately, for anyone with hearing aids that are not waterproof, this would most likely cause them to be ruined. It’s worth noting that water damage is not covered by most warranties so it’s likely to be a costly mistake.
The waterproof option does not come as standard with the Phonak Lumity range. If waterproof is the way you’d like to go, you will need to discuss this with your Hearing Aid Audiologist when placing your hearing aid order. The cost of adding the waterproof option to your hearing aids will be priced per aid and in terms of the hearing aids as a whole, is not overly expensive.
Rechargeable Option As Standard!
The Lumity range of hearing aids are all rechargeable as standard so there will be no worrying about disposable batteries. Rechargeable hearing aids will mean you no longer need to spend any money on hearing aid batteries! Hearing aid batteries typically last anywhere between 2 and 10 days depending on how much you use them. If you are streaming the TV and all of your phone calls through your aids then it is likely you will need to replace the batteries more often. Clearly none of this is a concern when you make the change to rechargeable hearing aids. As there is no need for disposable batteries, rechargeable hearing aids produce no waste. This is much more environmentally friendly option.

Phonak Lumity hearing aids also have increased speech understanding. They use Phonak SmartSpeech Technology so you can enjoy conversations even in the most challenging of listening situations.
