Have you heard the news…? Phonak have released a revolutionary receiver in canal (RIC) hearing aid that is a lot, lot thinner than any previous model. The design is so revolutionary that it actually won an award at the Hearing Technology Innovator 2023 awards.
A lot of people struggle with wearing both glasses and hearing aids at the same time. It can be uncomfortable, but more importantly, it can cause your hearing aids to become dislodged when taking your glasses on and off. The unique ergonomic shape of these slim aids is contoured to naturally nestle behind the ear, even if you wear glasses. As hearing aids are so small, it can be very easy to misplace them if they somehow get dislodged and fall off. Anything to minimise this risk of losing your hearing aids is a definite plus point!
Hearing Aid Performance
Just because the hearing aids are a lot thinner does not mean that any performance has been compromised. They are fully Bluetooth equipped and compatible with the myPhonak app. Using the app means you can control your hearing aids easily and effectively from your smartphone. They also benefit from Phonak SmartSpeech Technology. This helps users to improve speech understanding or reduce effort in many listening environments.
Slim Hearing Aid Colours
These slim hearing aids are available in 4 colours to match every lifestyle. One half of these hearing aids is always black and that is the side which sits against your ear. The other half of the aid can be chosen as sandalwood, copper, graphite or silver depending on your preference.
Rechargeable Hearing Aids
The slim hearing aids are rechargeable for your convenience and are fully charged in just 3 hours! They have a specific slim charging case that will fit conveniently on your bedside table. Rechargeable hearing aids will mean you no longer need to spend any money on hearing aid batteries. Hearing aid batteries typically last anywhere between 2 and 10 days depending on how much you use them and what you use them for. If you are streaming the TV and all of your phone calls through your aids then it is likely you will need to replace the batteries more often. Clearly none of this is a concern any more when you make the change to rechargeable hearing aids. As there is no need for disposable batteries, rechargeable hearing aids produce no waste which is much better for the environment.
